Gladys Klug, 88, died Dec. 10, 2012 at home in Great Bend. She was born Feb. 1, 1924 at Redwing, the daughter of Joseph and Louisa (Frenzel) Schremmer, Sr.
She married Edward Joseph Klug Jan. 29, 1946 at Odin. He died Jan. 3, 2007.
She worked for the central kitchen for USD 428 until her retirement. Mrs. Klug was a Great Bend resident since 1945 coming from Odin. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She is survived by one son, Tom Klug and his wife Rhonda of Great Bend; one daughter, Karen Keenan of Overland Park; four grandchildren, Troy Keenan and wife Mandy, Amy Scavuzzo and husband Richard, Kelsie Ruble and husband Tim, and Austin Klug and fiancée Marci Cornwell; and five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Scavuzzo, Joe Scavuzzo, Katie Scavuzzo, Addison Keenan and Parker Ruble.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Lane Keenan; four brothers, Joe Schremmer, Jr., Victor Schremmer, Wilfred Schremmer and Oscar Schremmer; and  three sisters, Louise Gerstenkorn, Eleanor Steiner, and Lucille Quigg.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. Celebrant will be Father Don Bedore. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend. Visitation is from 1- 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home.
