Glenn Earl Hill, 89, died Aug. 31 at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1922 at Indianapolis, Ind. the son of Walter and Vera (Meier) Hill. He married Lois May Bryant June 2, 1946 at Great Bend. She survives. He worked for Western Power and Centel as an office products controller. Mr. Hill was a Great Bend resident since 1945, coming from St. Louis, Mo. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a member the First Bible Baptist Church and recently attended the Heritage Baptist Church, both of Great Bend.
He is survived by wife, Lois May Hill of the home; one son, Dennis W. Hill and wife Mildred of Great Bend; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Elkins and her husband Troy, Allan Hill and wife Donna, Brian Hill; Matthew Hill and wife Jeannette; and one great-grandchild, Kalen Joe Hill. He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Kody Glenn Hill.
The graveside service will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend with Rev. Robert Morris officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 3 at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5– 6 p.m. Memorials can be made to First Bible Baptist Church, Heritage Baptist Church, or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
