Glenn Russell Dunavan, 77, of Great Bend, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 12 at his home. He was born May 7, 1933, in Decatur County, the son of Floyd and Dolly Roe Dunavan. He was a soil scientist for the United States Government.
Mr. Dunavan was a member of The Father House’s, Larned.
On Feb. 13, 1956, he married Sandra Ann (Delp) Dunavan at Medford, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include a son Russell, of Sturgis, S.D.; five daughters, Delene Martinez, Morrison, Colo., Dorathea Kelly, Derby, Deirdre Franey, Murphy, Texas, Donica Schumacher, Great Bend, and Danielle Eckland, Santa Clara, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Posson, Denver, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur, a sister, Mildred Dunavan, and one grandchild, Megan.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at The Father’s House with Pastor Mike Pfortmiller presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
