Harriet Irene Scott Richardson 1914 - 2011

WINFIELD — Harriet Irene Scott Richardson, 96, died June 19, 2011, at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.
She was born July 10, 1914.  In 1942, she married Royce Clark Richardson. He died in 1968. Harriet taught home economics and related subjects, and later elementary classes, including 1958-1979 in Great Bend at Park and Morrison Schools.
Mrs. Richardson loved to travel and was active in many service and social groups, including BPW, AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma, Research Club, Great Bend Retired Teachers Association, Wesleyan Service Guild and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Rogge and husband David, Topeka; a brother, Warren Scott, rural Winfield; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service and burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday June 22 at the Wilmore Cemetery in Wilmore, with the Rev. Gary Merritt presiding. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home in Coldwater, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be sent to Cumbernauld Village Employee Appreciation Fund or Coldwater-Wilmore Regional Library in care of the funeral home.
