MCCRACKEN — Harriet “Roberta” Wierman, 93 of McCracken, Kan. passed away Nov. 8, 2019 at Rush County Long Term Care in LaCrosse Kan. She was born April 17, 1926 in Rush County, Kan. to John and Olive (Buzzard) Kittle. Roberta married Francis Wierman on Nov. 23, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church in Ness City.
Roberta is survived by her children, daughters, Rita Brethowr, Park City, Kan; Marilyn Sommers (George), Silver Lake, Kan.; son, Ray Wierman (Laura), Bennington, Kan.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wanda Wierman, Minneapolis, Kan. and Eula Kittle, Liberal, Kan.; many nieces and nephews. Her husband of 67 years, 11 months, passed away Oct. 8, 2016. She is preceded in death by siblings, Alverna Humburg, Dean Kittle, Fred Kittle and infant Robert Kittle.
Viewing will be Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with rosary following at St. Mary’s Heritage Church, McCracken. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at St. Mary’s Heritage Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, rural McCracken. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McCracken St. Mary’s Heritage Church or Rush County Long Term Care, in care of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Ness City, KS 67560.
