Harvey Eugene Linn 1930-2017

ALBERT — Harvey Eugene Linn, 87, died Nov. 11, 2017, at Almost Home, Inc., Great Bend. He was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Harvey and Olive (Franklin) Linn. Harvey served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Harvey was united in marriage to Rosemary Lichter on Sept. 28, 1957.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Ann Catholic Church, Albert Mayor and City Clerk, and was the Olmitz baseball and basketball little league coach for many years. He worked for Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America for 37 years and retired in 1992.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Rosemary Linn of Albert; six sons Michael and wife Rocio Linn of Bakersfield, Calif, Mitchell and wife Tami Linn of Wichita, Nick and wife Rosemary Linn of Smith Center, Randy Linn of El Paso, Texas, John and wife Sonya Linn of Hoyt, and Joey and wife Lori Linn of Hays; daughter Jeanne and husband Dave Byers of Hoisington; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Alvin Lichter of LaCrosse; sister-in-law Mary Linenberger of Great Bend and numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olive, infant grandsons, Jacob and Isaac Linn; brother-in-law, John Lichter and wife Christine, Joseph Lichter and wife Irene, Henry Lichter and Sylvester Linenberger.
Vigil with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at St Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz with Father Charles Mazouch celebrating. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Olmitz, with military rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Catholic Church or Albert Fire Department, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
