SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. — Henry Edward Yount Sr. 90, passed away Feb. 29, 2016, at his residence. Born Feb. 14, 1926, at Yount, Mo., he was the son of Jess and Ella J. Seabaugh Yount. On Jan. 22, 1947, he married Jean Bollinger. She passed away on Aug. 13, 2004. He was employed as an electrician for Mobil Oil.
Mr. Yount served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II making sonar and radar equipment. He was a member of the Yount Cemetery Board, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary of Chester, Ill., and a member of the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Henry Edward (Barb) Yount Jr. of Mecosta, Mich.; a daughter Karen (Henry) Wolf of Chester, Ill.; sister-in-law Betty Yount of Perryville, Mo.; three grandchildren Jessica Yount, Christopher (Tracy) and Bradley (Danica) Wolf; three great-grandchildren, Ein Yount, Zoey and Micha Henry Wolf; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean; parents; and brothers and sisters Perry, Frank, Mary and Bea Yount.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill, Mo. with the Rev. Anthony Stewart and the Rev. Pam Ekey officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Cemetery in Patton, Mo. with full military honors provided by the Missouri Honors Team. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
