WINFIELD — Ida Funk, 82, died Dec. 3, 2013 at her home in Winfield. Born March 18, 1931, in Raymond, she was the daughter of Arch and Alma(Ash) Cain. She was raised and attended schools in Great Bend and Raymond. On Dec. 1, 1960, she married Paul Funk in Great Bend. He passed away July 7, 1999. She was employed at F. W. Woolworth in high school and during World War II at Beech Aircraft. She later worked side by side with Paul in many business ventures that culminated with Paul’s Carry Out in Mulvane. She was also a homemaker, raising a two sons and two daughters.
Mrs. Funk was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son Richard Tieperman and wife Maggie of Winfield; two daughters, Sheryl Ann Skipper of Lake West Tawakoni, Texas and Cynthia Naillon and husband Gary of Winfield; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Don Lee Tieperman; a brother Don Cain; and a sister Iona Hidde.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will follow the service at the Mulvane City Cemetery, Visitation will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m., with family present from 5 to 6 p.m., on Thursday, at Swisher Taylor & Morris Funeral Home.
