Jack W. Luft 82, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2020, at University of Kansas Health System- Great Bend Campus. He was born September 3, 1938 in Great Bend the son of Herman and Helen Luft. Jack was united in marriage to Wanda Wharton on August 7, 1976, at the First United Methodist Church, in Great Bend.
Jack was a lifetime resident of Great Bend. He was an Insurance adjuster for State farm for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, and dog field trials. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife Wanda of the home; son Christopher Hughes of Wichita; daughter Wendy Litzenberger of Great Bend; brother Jim and wife Jody Luft; four grandchildren, Landon and Kylie Litzenberger, Sidney and Skyler Hughes and one great grandson Ashler Litzenberger; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Howard Luft and sisters Janice and Judy.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, with family present 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Bryant Funeral Home with Rev Larry Schumacher presiding. Interment will be in Great Bend North Cemetery.
Memorial is suggested to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
