James Jim W. Zeltner 1942 - 2012

PRATT — James ‘Jim’ W. Zeltner, 70, died Sept. 25, 2012 at Pratt Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 9, 1942 in Richmond, Mo., he was the son of James R. and Roma Irene (Swetnam) Zeltner.
On March 18, 1962, he married Cuma M. Vinson in Great Bend. In 1968, he moved to Pratt and was a reporter for The Pratt Tribune and later was editor and wrote the Lefthand Corner column. Jim served for more than 20 years as a volunteer fireman and retired from the city of Pratt where he was a power plant operator and city inspector.  
Mr. Zeltner served in the Army. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pratt, and the Amateur Radio Club. His call sign was WB0OAO.  
Survivors include his wife Cuma; and a daughter, Christine B. Zeltner and husband Marty Johnson, Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lynann Quattlebaum.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Pratt Area Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Friends may leave condolences for the family at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
