OGALLAH — James Lee Patterson, 62, died May 26, 2014 at his home  in Ogallah. Born Jan. 11, 1952 in Hoisington, he was the son of Junior and Betty (Phillips) Patterson. A resident of Ogallah for 10 years, coming from Great Bend, he was a roughneck for various oil companies and a CMA for nursing homes.
Survivors include a son, Cory Patterson of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Deia Vonfeldt of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, John Patterson of Maple Hill; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at the Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Toys for Tots in care of the funeral home.
