Jane Marie Berg, 61, died on Dec. 22, 2021 at her home in Salina, Kan. She was born on June 11, 1960 to Richard and Emily (Henning) Kathman.

Jane grew up in Garden City, then was a long-time resident of Great Bend. She spent her final years in Abilene and Salina. She worked for Salvation Army as a Retail Manager. Jane was an avid reader and loved to crochet. 

Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Berg of Salina, Kan. and Michael Berg of Great Bend, Kan.; two daughters, Jennifer Christiansen and her husband of Ellinwood, Kan. and Katherine Scott of Morgan Hill, Calif.; one sister, Sue Kathman of Great Bend, Kan.; three brothers, Joseph Kathman of Great Bend, Kan., Richard Kathman of Scott City, Kan., and David Ward, of Rocky Point, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Michael, Monday, and Roland Scott. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Berg Jr.; and a brother, James Kathman.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, with family receiving guests from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Bever presiding.
