HAYS — Jeremy Owen Johnson, 27, died Thursday, June 14,  the result of a work accident in rural Ellis County. He was born Feb. 21, 1985 in Great Bend, Kansas to Howard and Carmen (Beck) Johnson. He graduated from Claflin High School in 2003.
 He worked as a tire and vehicle tech at Kansas Land Tire of Hays.
 He is survived by his fiancé, Laura Dunn and son, Treighton Dunn of Hays; his parents, Howard and Carmen Johnson of Claflin; a brother, Bradley Johnson of Claflin; his grandparents, Florence Johnson of Pawnee Rock and Bob and Nancy Beck of Claflin; Future in-laws, David and Joan Dunn of Hays; future brother-in-law, Michael Dunn and his wife Mary and daughter Molly of Grand View, MO. and future grandmother-in-law, Norene Giebler of Hays. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Carl Johnson.
 Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
 Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 p.m. at Brock’s North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine, Hays. A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
 Memorials are suggested to the Treighton Dunn Education Fund.
