CHASE — Joan Y. Coldwater, 82, died Jan. 1, 2013 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1930 in Sterling, she was the daughter of George and Flora Bessie Daily Nearhood. In 1950 she graduated from Lyons High School. On Nov. 25, 1950 she married Robert Coldwater in Lyons. A resident of Chase since 1950, formerly of Lyons, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Coldwater was a member of the Chase Senior Center.
Survivors include, her husband, Robert, of the home; three daughters, Cindy and Hal Hollembeak, Great Bend; Elizabeth Coldwater, Chase; and Tammera and Kirk Fish, Raymond; four grandchildren, Angela and Gavin Taylor and Anessa Fish, all of Hutchinson, Ashlei Hollembeak of Ellinwood, and Sara Hollembeak of  Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons with Sonny Wiesner officiating. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Chase Senior Center of Friends of Animals, in care of the funeral home.
