Joe Harold Spears, 54, died Sept. 24, 2016, at Great Bend. Born Feb. 27, 1962, at Yuma, Ariz., he was the son of John Leo and Helen (West) Spears. On April 1, he married Sheryl Miller at Great Bend. A Great Bend resident since 2005, coming from Mesa, Ariz., he was a truck driver and owned and operated J & S Handyman Service. He enjoyed truck driving, camping, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Spears; one son, James David Miller and his wife Chelesa of Hoisington; one daughter, Amanda Wilson and Michael Kramer of Ellinwood; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Jacque Fowler of Great Bend; several brothers and sisters and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Mark Spears.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Joiner officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
