KINSLEY — John C. Winter, 39, died July 19 at his home in Kinsley. Born Aug. 17, 1971, in Garden City, he was the son of Ronald K. and Gail (Minyen) Winter. He was a glass blower.

Survivors include his wife, Rita S. Winter; a daughter, Hannah Winter of Hallettville, Texas; his mother, Gail Winter of Kinsley; his father, Ronald Winter and wife Peggy of Sublette; a brother, Randy, of Wichita; and three sisters, Yvette Shantz of Wichita, Robin Rziha of Hoisington, and Chandra Mendoza of Sublette. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at McKillip Memorial Chapel in Kinsley with Pastor Avery Rutledge officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Hannah Winter Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
