Johnny Ray Stoskopf, 69, passed away on April 19, 2022 at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on Sept. 30, 1952, at Hobbs, New Mexico to Kenneth Lee and Virginia Lee (Grimes) Stoskopf.
A life-time resident of Great Bend, Johnny was a member of the River of Life Foursquare Church and Central Kansas Association for the Visually Impaired. He was a former member of the Peace Corps, having served in Ecuador.
Survivors include two sisters, Connie McKnight of Missouri, and Karen Cruz of Great Bend; two brothers, Jim Stoskopf of Colorado, and Jack Stoskopf of Rhode Island; a half-brother, Lane Heape of Olathe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Hoisington Cemetery with Pastor David LeRoy presiding.
