SEWARD — Josephine Snell, age 92 passed away March 16, 2018, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born on Oct. 15, 1925, at Pawnee Rock, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Wedell) Unruh. She was a homemaker and former cook for Radium Schools. On Oct. 16, 1951, she married James T. Snell, he preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly K. Adams, Fulton, MO, Bettina A. Devine (Eddie), Seward, KS; a sister, Dee Sanborn, Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Darin Devine, B.J. Devine, Becky Devine, Jennifer Ferguson (Doug), Tammy Rifkin (Joel); seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James; two brothers Eudor Unruh and Doran Unruh; two sisters, Alda Underwood and Vergie Koehn.
A private family burial service will take place at Mokane Cemetery, Mokane, Mo., on Monday, March 19, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to K.C. Blind All Stars Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
