HOLYROOD — Joy Lee Warner, 82, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 in Ellsworth. She was born Oct. 13, 1938 in El Dorado, Kan. to Wilbert “Dutch” Schriver and Ruby (Hogg) Schriver.
Joy Lee married Gary Warner on Jan. 3, 1957 in Lorraine, Kan. Together they operated Warner’s Jack & Jill Grocery store in Holyrood for 29 years until their retirement in 1989.
Joy Lee is survived by her husband, Gary of Holyrood; sons, Mike Warner (Stephanie) of Wichita and Randy Warner (Missy) of Great Bend; grandchildren, Kinsey Christensen (Leif), Nathan Warner, Zachary Warner (Alyssa), Levi Fitzmier, and Caleb Warner; great grandchildren, Izabella, Nevaeh, Cash, and Matias; and brother, Darrell Schriver of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joe Dell Warner; and granddaughter, Kendra Warner.
A memorial graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at the United Church of Christ Cemetery, Holyrood.
