Justin Eugene Heggemeier, 1977-2013

HOISINGTON — Justin Eugene Heggemeier, 35, died Jan. 22 at his home in Hoisington.  Born Aug. 20, 1977 at Great Bend, he was the son of Ronald R. and Rhonda S. (Clarke) Heggemeier.
Mr. Heggemeier grew up in Great Bend, resided in Parker, Colo., for over 20 years, and moved back to Great Bend in 2009. He was active in Ducks Unlimited and the Elbert County, Colo. Rattlesnake Fire District. In high school he was an Explorer with the Commerce City (Colo.) Police Department, and the rodeo club at Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colo. He was a Cub Scout and an avid hunter, sportsman and golfer. He held a B.S. in Land Use Management from Metropolitan State College, was a salesman for National Oil Varco, and was co-owner of The Flyover Cafe, Susank.  During his life he had been married to Regina Hill, Jill Ulrich, and Michelle (Dunn) Chapman.
Survivors include his father, Ronald R. Heggemeier and his wife Maral, Lockhart, Texas; his mother, Rhonda S. Phillips and her husband Dale, Great Bend, KS; two sons: Justin J. Heggemeier and Cody R. Heggemeier of Lone Tree, Colo.; one daughter, Bailey F. Heggemeier of Greeley, Colo.; a sister, Jennifer Grafton and her husband Todd, two nieces, and a nephew of Huxley, Iowa; one step-sister, Taryn Weil, her husband Darce and a nephew of Elizabeth, Colo.; a step-brother, Tyler Lindauer, his wife Sarah and a niece of Parker, Colo., and his paternal grandmother, Jean Heggemeier of Odessa, Texas.  He was preceded in death by two infant brothers; and grandparents, Bill Heggemeier and Walter and Ida Clarke.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Children’s Education Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
