Katherine A. Henderson, age 53 years, of Great Bend, Kan. passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, Feb. 24, 2022 at Bright Place North Care Facility in Topeka, Kan. Katherine was born on Sept. 19, 1968 at Wichita, Kan. to Frederick L. (Fred) and Mary C. (Johnston) Reno. She lived in Norman, Okla. several years and also in Tennessee prior to moving to Great Bend. Katherine graduated from Kingman High School at Kingman, Kan. in 1987, and later attended Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan. She was united in marriage to Lee R. Henderson on Feb. 19, 2011 at Great Bend.  Katherine loved hiking, playing basketball, playing the piano and the saxophone, and singing. She was a member of Encounter Church in Great Bend.

Survivors include her husband, Lee R. Henderson of Great Bend, Kan.; one son, John L. Whyatt of Norman, Okla. and one daughter, Krissy (and her husband Travis) Schopf of Fort Polk, La.; two grandchildren, Keana Schopf and Emily Schopf; her mother, Mary C. Reno of Larned, Kan.; two sisters,  Nita (and Rudi) Lenz of Booton Township, N.J. and Stacy (and Travis) Hamrick of Larned, Kan.; nieces and nephews. Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Frederick L. (Fred) Reno in 2011.
