Kathleen Moore Switzer, age 71, passed away on October 16, 2020. She was born on September 9, 1949 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

She grew up in Ann Arbor until the age of 12 and then moved with her family to Great Bend, Kansas. She attended McPhearson College for two years before receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Fort Hays State College in Kansas. In 1973, she married Daniel Switzer and they moved to a farm in rural Missouri the next year. They moved to the Houston, Texas area in 1976 and had a son, Paul, in 1980. 

Kathleen was a licensed nurse at Bayshore Hospital and was a partner in “Modern Nanny” Educational Services. She also worked as an office administrator for Nurse Call and Fire Alarm Systems companies. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Moore and is survived by her husband, Daniel Lewis Switzer; son, Paul Kenneth Switzer; grandchildren, Alekzander Kain Serna Switzer and Emily Michelle Switzer; and her sister, Margaret Duell.
