Keith Williams, 53, died Dec. 25, 2015, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. Born Nov. 1, 1962 at Alexandria, La., he was the son of Dave and Bertha Mae (Hickman) Williams, Jr.
He married Connie Shewbart Jan. 20, 2006 at Great Bend, Kansas. A Great Bend resident since 2005, coming from Alexandria, La., Mr. Williams was a nurse for various nursing homes. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, yard work, and doing mechanic and handyman work.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Williams, of the home; his mother, Bertha M. Williams Ceasar of Alexandria, La.; two sons: Brandon Ivory of Alexandria, La., and Tyrone Shewbart of the home; five sisters: Karen Franklin and Rosa Fields and her husband Clarence, both of Pineville, La.; Becky Hurks and her husband Tory of Alexandria, La., Jacqueline Hamilton and husband Roy of Garland, Texas; and Pearlean “Bay” Spottsville and her husband William of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five brothers: Anthony Ceasar and Fredrick Ceasar, both of Alexandria, La., Henry Ceasar, Jr. and his wife Debra of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., John Ceasar or Las Vegas, Nev., and Kenneth Miles and his wife Sonya of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren: Sapphire Shewbart and Lillith Morrison
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy Keith as officiant. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
