CHASE — Kenneth Lynn “Ken” Aldridge, 70, of Chase, Kan., passed away April 28, 2024, at Hospice House of Hutchinson, Kan. He was born July 4, 1953, in Little River, Kan., the son of John Aldridge.
Ken was a lifelong Chase resident. He graduated from Chase High School with the class of 1972, and later received his mechanic degree from Salina Area Technical College. Ken was owner and operator of F & J Auto Salvage in Chase. F & J Auto Salvage has been owned by the Aldridge family since 1963. Ken enjoyed driving race cars on dirt tracks, coon and coyote hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
On Oct. 30, 1972, Ken was united in marriage with Carol Ruth Hohl in Lyons. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2013. He is also preceded in death by his father, and close friends, Joe Wakefield and Don Wakefield. Ken is survived by his son, David Aldridge and wife Brittany of La Crosse, Kan.; daughter, Carolyn Reissig and husband Shawn of McPherson, Kan.; daughter in heart, Becky Kozel of Lyons, Kan.; five grandchildren, Wade Aldridge, Brylnee Demel, Willie Dunn, Austin Kozel, and Carter Kozel; and great-granddaughter, Payton Marie Dunn.
Memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or United Cerebral Palsy in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
