Kenneth Pack Sr., 81, died Feb. 6, 2016, at Diversicare of Larned. Born Nov. 4, 1934, in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of Roy and Mona (Howard) Pack. On Sept. 20, 1956, he married Nancy Stevens in Kentucky. A long time Great Bend resident, he worked in construction, farmed, and worked for Goodyear Tire. He enjoyed fishing, and was known for his marksmanship.
Mr. Pack served his country in the Unite States Army from 1953- 1961.
Survivors include, his wife, Nancy Pack, of the home; one son, Jeremiah Pack of Great Bend; one daughter, Barbara Guerra and her husband Robert, of Great Bend; two brothers, Allen Pack and Keith Pack, both of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; one sister, Louise Wheeler of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Chai Guerra, Izzy Guerra, Vincent Pack, Cassie Pack, Mindy Pack, Amy Pack, and John Powell. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Pack Jr.; and by two daughters, Patricia Ellington and Nancy Joann Hickman.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Golden Belt Memorial Park in Great Bend, with Pastor Larry Schumacher officiating. Military honors conducted by the United States Army Honor. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
