PAWNEE ROCK — Kimberly A. Hayward, 46, passed away Sept. 7, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born Sept. 22, 1967, in El Cajon, Calif., she was the daughter of Howard M. and Dora Prince Hayward. A longtime area resident, she was a home health nurse.
Ms. Hayward was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her parents of Pawnee Rock; a son, Jacob Nathaniel Shackelford of Pawnee Rock; two daughters, Michelle Suzanne Colwell of Great Bend and Aubrianna Rena Miller-Hayward of Pawnee Rock; a brother Howard Hayward III of Occola, Fla.; four sisters, Rebecca Lynn Hayward of Spanish Fork, Utah, Tamara Dawne Williams of Escondido, Calif., Linda Katherine Reyes of Ottawa, and Michelle Bethel of Great Bend; her grandmother, Laura Jean Miller of Pawnee Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Benjamin Bates presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Down Syndrome Society or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
