SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. — LaWanda M. (Batman) Farrell, 82, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven on April 7, at Corondelet Hospice in Tucson, Ariz. Born Jan. 14, 1929, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Ralph E. Batman and Martha F (Batman) Williams. She worked 45 years in hospitals in Russell, Great Bend, and Sierra Vista Regional Hospital in Sierra Vista, Ariz. Her hobby was bowling.
LaWanda loved going to the Church of the Nazarene, there she found many caring, and loving people.
Survivors include husband, Edward J. Farrell of Sierra Vista Ariz.; a son Lonnie T. Phillips, and wife Carla, Globe, Ariz.; a daughter Angela (Lauber) Holmstrom, and husband Justin, of Holbrook, Ariz.; three brothers, Ralph E. Batman and wife Lucille of Great Bend, Charles L. Batman and wife Martha of Otis, and Elmo E. Batman of Kansas City; three stepchildren, Danny Farrell, David Farrell and Brenda (Farrell) Molina and husband Shawn; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson, three great-grandchildren, one niece and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloy H. Phillips; sister Frieda Ilene Orr; and son Lloy Keith Phillips.
Cremation and memorial services have already taken place.
