Leslie Lowell Workman, 78, died Dec. 8, 2016, at his home in Great Bend. Born June 14, 1938, at Great Bend, he was the son of Leslie Lowell and Mathilda (Krkosska) Workman Sr. On April 15, 1972, he married Jean Marie Mausolf at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. A lifetime Great Bend resident, he was a serviceman for NCR. He enjoyed attracting purple martins, was involved in Boy Scouts and loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Workman was a United States Army Reserve veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Marie Workman, of the home; two sons, Wesley Workman and his wife Charleen of Pittsburg, and Daryl Workman and his wife Amy of Americus; one brother, Lyman Workman of Ellsworth; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Workman of Lawson, Mo., Wanda Unruh of Newton, and Rose Ann Steitz of Warrensburg, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Desiree Workman, Jacob Workman, Tucker Workman, Tabor Workman and Gabby Kasjaka. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Workman and Lyle Workman; and one granddaughter, Alicia Workman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Shelly Klingensmith officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, south of Albert. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home.
