Lois A. Lindsay 1919-2011

HOLYROOD — Lois A. Lindsay, 92, died Aug. 15, 2011 in Osborne.
She was born Feb. 28, 1919 in Lewis, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Molly (Eberle) Woolard.
She was a homemaker and a cook for 14 years at Big L Café in Holyrood. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Holyrood, VFW Auxiliary at Ellsworth and So-Sew-Quilting Club.
On July 24, 1938 she married William ‘Mack’ Lindsay in St. John. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1980. Also preceding her were her brothers, Ross, Dean and Ralph and a sister, Ruby Sawyer.
Survivors include her sons, William Jay, Luray; and Larry Gene, Great Bend; daughters, Carolyn Jo Hodges, Yucaipa, Calif.; and Gwendolyn Ruth Lord, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. 
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday,  Aug. 19 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Holyrood with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday at the Parsons Funeral Home, 307 N. Lincoln Ave., Ellsworth.
