Louise M. Gruber Woodruff Reed 1926-2011

HOISINGTON — Louise M. Gruber Woodruff Reed, age 84, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Clermont, Fla.
She was born October 14, 1926 in Hoisington, the daughter of William G. and Nellie B. (Westover) Gruber.
Louise graduated from Hoisington High School. She married Robert “Bob” Woodruff, her high school sweetheart, after graduation. She later married William “Bill” Reed. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1997. She worked as a secretary for her husband. She attended the Hoisington Bible Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and going to casinos.
She is survived by a son, Terry Woodruff and wife Joan, Clermont, Fla.; a brother, Art Gruber, Norman, Okla.; a sister, Thelma Brack, Hoisington; two grandsons, Derek Woodruff and Joseph Woodruff; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William G. Gruber, Dr. Gene Gruber, Milton Gruber; two sisters, Pauline Gruber, and Lucille Hester.
A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel in Hoisington with Pastor Steven R. Little officiating. Burial will follow at Hoisington Cemetery in Hoisington, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, July 6 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
