DECATUR, Texas — Loyce “MeMaw” Robinson, 94, a seamstress, went to be with our Lord, Aug. 19, 2015 in Decatur.
Loyce was born Jan. 6, 1921 to Michael and Mary (McGlothlin) Raynes in Stonewall, Texas. She was united in marriage to Ivy Stephens Oct. 24, 1937 in Weinert, Texas. They were married 36 years until his passing in 1973. Loyce later married Harry Robinson in 1976. They were married 22 years until his passing in 1998.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Douglas Stephens, Arlington, Texas; her daughters, Surrynda Kay Crafton and husband Jerry, Alvord, Texas; and Roelga Sarmento and husband Tony, Nashville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Harry Robinson, and Ivy Stephens; her daughter, Mary Lou Stephens; and her son, Royce Stephens.
A graveside service is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Weinert Cemetery in Weinert, Texas with Kerry Clower officiating. Family received friends Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home. The pallbearers are the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Crafton, Richard Dunn, Tony Sarmento, and Gene Niblett.
