Margaret Marty Mary Turner 1942 - 2018

LARNED — Margaret “Marty” Mary Turner, 75, passed away June 6, 2018, at Country Living of Larned. She was born June 26, 1942, in Nashville, Kan., the daughter of Ferdinand Michael and Marie Elizabeth Georges Freund. A longtime area resident, she was a Radiology Technician at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Larned, Kan.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the Coffee Girls.

Survivors include, three sons, Todd P. Turner, Larned, Kan., Cory M. (Randi) Turner, Cherokee, Iowa, Christopher A. (Shelly) Turner, Salina, Kan.; daughter, Theresa (Terry) and Jon Palmer, Larned, Kan.; three brothers, Eugene (Clara Mae) Freund, St. Leo, Kan., Elmer (Johanna) Freund and Richard (Rosemary) Freund, both of Cunningham, Kan.; sister, Emma Jane (Marvin) Reif, Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Haleigh Bennett, Larned, Kan., Hannah Bolt, Norton, Kan., Liberty Keiswetter, Norton, Kan., Morgan Bixenman, Grinnell, Kan., Easton Palmer, Larned, Kan., Marley Palmer, Larned, Kan., Hayden Turner, Cherokee, Iowa and Gabi Turner, Salina, Kan.; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy M. Turner; and a sister, JoAnn Moore.

Vigil and rosary will be at 7 p.m., Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned. Memorials may be sent to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary or Pawnee Valley Community Special Nursing Services in care of Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
