Marie Alice McNett, 86, died Sept. 1 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1926 at Red Rock, Okla. the daughter of Leonard  and Libby  (Bradwell) Ward. She married Champ McNett at Great Bend.  He died Feb. 27, 1994.
 Mrs. McNett worked at Bayless Dry Cleaners, the Big Wheel, Sip & Nip and Fuller Brush. After retirement she was a crossing guard at Riley School.
Mrs. McNett was a Great Bend, Kansas resident most of her life coming from Red Rock, Okla. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Great Bend.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin McNett and his wife Marcia of Sylvia, Fred McNett of Great Bend, Raymond McNett and his wife Joan of Great Bend; two daughters, Cathy Johnson and her husband Howard of Great Bend, Janice Melder and her husband Roger of Glinmore, La.; one daughter-in-law: Stella McNett of Glinmore, La.; one sister, Mildred Bullard of Great Bend; and 128 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Butch McNett; and three sisters, Pauline Thomson, Pearl Ebert, and Dorothy Ward.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Great Bend. The officiant will be Pastor Josh Foster with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., Tuesday  at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. and visitation 9 a.m. – noon on Wednesday. The memorial fund is Kans for Kids, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
