NORTON — Marietta Gilmore, 88, died Dec. 21, in Norton. Born Jan. 19, 1925 in Cairo, she was the daughter of Leslie (Judd) L. and Mabel Dale (McGaffin) Fitzsimmons. She attended rural schools and graduated from Pratt High School. She married Richard Leslie Webster. In 1960, she married William Edward Gilmore. He died in 2001. She was a resident of Parkwood Assisted Living, later moving to the Andbe Home in Norton to be closer to her daughter. She was employed at a laundry mat, a chiropractor’s office, as a homemaker and as a domestic helper for several elderly Pratt residents.
Survivors include son Richard David (Dave) Webster of Great Bend;  daughter Wendy (Webster) of Norton; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother “Jack” Fitzsimmons; and her husband Bill Gilmore
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 26, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt with Pastor John Havens presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Andbe Home Rose Garden in Norton or to the Pratt Area Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
