SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Marion DeWayne “Mac” McCraw, 71, passed from this life on Sunday, May 11. Mac was born in ReDondo Beach, Calif. on May 27, 1942, to Roland Marion McCraw and LaVica Marie (Lumpkin) McCraw. Raised by a Dad that was a mechanic, Mac learned the same trade. For many years he worked as an auto mechanic for J.C. Penney. Even though Mac enjoyed working on cars, he also enjoyed farming during his later years. His passion for older cars and trucks could be seen in his collection of old model cars and trucks. During the times when his family could be together, Mac loved to talk about the old times. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mac is survived by daughter Pamela McCraw of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons Marion D. McCraw Jr. and Clifford R. McCraw and wife Marcia, both of Great Bend; brother Danny Willis and wife Tricia; sisters Sherron Cothran and husband Doyle, Patricia A. Judy and husband Garry, Darlene Case and husband Larry, Linda Hollingshead and husband Wade, and Deahn Tilley and husband Ronnie; grandchild Penelope McCraw; many other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding Mac in death were his parents Roland McCraw and LaVica Williams; and brother David Keith McCraw.
Funeral services for Mac will be at 2 p.m. today in the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mobley-dodsonfuneralservice.com.
