LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. — Marion Huslig Sandlin passed away peacefully in Laguna Niguel, Calif. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. She was born in Claflin, Kansas on March 14, 1926 to Leo and Mary Huslig. She married in 1945 and had four children, Robert, Thomas, Sharon and Douglas Sandlin. She moved to California in 1961 where she raised her family and worked at St Jude Hospital in Fullerton, Calif. as a Pharmacy Transcribing Technician for 28 years. She was an avid collector of Fenton Glass. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include son Tom and his wife Lynne Sandlin; daughter Sharon and her husband Doug Storm and son Doug Sandlin; four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren all of California. Her siblings include brother, Leverne and sister-in-law Marilee Huslig of Ellinwood; brother Hugo and sister-in-law Connie Huslig of Wichita, KS; and sister, Florene Miller of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in passing by her parents; four brothers, Donnie, Melvin, Bernard and Elmer Huslig; and son Robert Sandlin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend with interment to follow at Great Bend Cemetery.
