On June 22, 2019, heaven gained another angel after a short illness. Born on May 8, 1929 in Walker, Mo. to Clara Mae (Jones) Fisher and Charles Ira Fisher. She graduated from Walker High School in 1946 as valedictorian and attended Southwest Missouri State. She met and married a returning Navy man. She later graduated from Barton Community College, St. Mary of the Plains, and at the age of 78 received her second Bachelor of Arts degree from Sterling College.

Her joy in her art work lasted through her lifetime even though she thought it was an unnecessary required subject in college. She was volunteer clown, Whoozit. Her favorite art subject was her clowns, with over 1,000 charcoals and oil paintings given to friends and family. She had art shows at Great Bend, Kan.; Dodge City, Kan.; Russell, Kan.; Enid, Okla.; Dallas, Texas; and Tulsa, Okla. You can see her paintings in many homes all over the United States and England. Her other passion was her duplicate bridge which she attained her Bronze Life Master and was just a few points shy of the Silver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles and Robert Fisher; and her beloved companion of over 20 years, Dale Kline. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory five children, Melinda Kite, David (Jackie) Kite, Doug (Carmen) Kite, Marcia (Rolla) Fetterman, and Laurie Scheffer; seven grandchildren, Nickolas (Allison) Kite, Jessica (Aric) Almaguer, James Kite, Erica Kite, Alicia (Bryan) Mong, Melissa (Jesse) Edmonson, and David Scheffer; and eight plus great-grandchilden Madison(Jerry), Raylynn, Lexy (Jacob), Aaron, Austin, Wyatt, Jaden, Carly and a great granddaughter to be welcomed in September. 

She considered Dale’s daughters, Karen (George Martin), Katherine (David Berkowitz) and Barbara and their children (Bill, Caitlin, Jack, Fiona, Mary and Sam) and grandchildren, part of her family. Also, her loving companion, Susie Peaches who spent the last two weeks cuddling and giving comfort in the nursing home.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. A gathering of friends and family is being planned for June, 2020 in Branson, Mo. to scatter her ashes in her beloved Ozark Mountains.
