WILSON—Mary A. “Annie” Vopat, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 30 at Salina. Born March 8, 1935, she was the daughter of Paul and Therese (Reissig) Dumler.
On October 12, 1959, she married John L. Vopat. He died May 9, 1999. They lived in the Wilson area where she was a homemaker.
A member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, she was a member of the Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include two sons, Jon Vopat and wife Tammy, Emporia and Jim Vopat and wife Kathy, Great Bend; two daughters, Janet Cross and husband Dale, Abilene, and Jackie Pounds, Sylvan Grove; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Dumler, Nixa, Mo. and a sister, Marjorie Pohlman, Russell. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Vopat; her sister, Vera Mae and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with Fr. Henry Baxa officiating. Interment will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, and from 8:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Foster Mortuary. A Parish Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night, Oct. 2 at Foster Mortuary. Memorials may be made in care of Foster Mortuary, Inc., 610 24th St., Wilson, KS
