HUDSON — Mary A. Miller, 78, passed away Sept. 18, 2018 in Hudson, Kan.
She was born April 7, 1940, in Vernon, Kan., the daughter of Chester R. and Edna M. Pickering Wells Sr. A longtime area resident, she was a beautician.
She attended Trinity Community Church in Hudson and was the Stafford County Fire Chief for 19 years. She enjoyed making jelly and doing crafts.
On Nov. 2, 1962, she married Milton Edward (Shark) Miller in Oklahoma. He died Dec. 24, 1997.
Survivors include, three sons, Raymond Johnson, Edward (Sherry) Miller and Mike L. Miller Sr., all of Hudson, Kan.; sister, Fran Fensky, Hudson, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester R. Wells Jr.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Trinity Cemetery, Hudson, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Memorials may be given to the Mary A.
