LaCrosse — Michael H. “Mike” Welsh, 80, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society, Hays. Mr. Welsh was born May 16, 1937, in Flint, Mich. He was a resident of Rush County for 15 plus years, moving from Claflin. He was a grain elevator employee for many years before his retirement. On Aug. 26, 1963, he married Venita M. Beers in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include, his wife, Venita M. Welsh, La Crosse; two sons, Ty Welsh (Pam), Bison, and Aaron Welsh, Ellsworth; two daughters, Tracy Naab (Sam), Hoisington, and Nina Elson (Richard), Great Bend; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family conducted a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at River of Life Foursquare Church in Great Bend, with Pastor David LeRoy officiating.
