LARNED — Mildred “Millie” K. Oetken, 64, passed away March 29, 2017, at Diversicare of Larned. Born May 18, 1952, at Dodge City, she was the daughter of Marvin and Margaret Leonhart Rupp. On July 2, 1972, she married Charlie Oetken in St. John. He survives. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Oetken was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Larned.
Other survivors include a son, Bill Oetken of Aurora, Colo.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mike Rupp.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Larned Cemetery with Pastor David Spare presiding. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 -8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at Beckwith Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
