RUIDOSO, N.M. — Misti C. Berchek Anderson, 42, died Jan. 27 in Albuquerque, N.M. Born May 12, 1970 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of William J. Berchek Jr. and Roxanna L. (Reiser) Hartline. In 1989, she married Jay Anderson. They later divorced. Formerly of Great Bend, Sterling, Beloit and Lindsborg and Carlsbad, Calif., she was a waitress.
Survivors include two daughters Kierstyn Anderson of Portland, Ore. and Kaitlyn Baca of Ruidoso, N.M.; a brother, Jason Berchek of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Jill L. Bossow of Edwards, Colo. and Jenell L. Puett of Olathe; her parents, Bill and Marcia Berchek of Great Bend and Roxanna and Edward Hartline of Holland, Mich.; and her grandparents, Howard and Wilma Reiser of Pryor, Okla. She was preceded in death by a son, Justin Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood with the Rev. Casey Crosby officiating. Burial will be at the Golden Belt Cemetery in Great Bend. Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Kimple Funeral Home in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to the Education Fund for Kaitlyn.
