GREAT BEND -- Nolen Gene Nairn, 86, died Nov. 17, 2015, at Stafford County Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1929, in Great Bend, he was the son of John L. and Sylvia Blanche (Ewing) Nairn. On Oct. 8, 1950, he married Earlene Kiger in Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, he was a self-employed hot oil operator.
Survivors include his wife, Earlene Nairn, of the home; two sons, Douglas Nairn and his wife Sheree, Lawrence; and Clay Nairn and his wife Lisa, Shawnee; a daughter, Cathi J. Conaway and her husband Chuck, Great Bend; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Shawn, Ryan, Dallas, Bailey, Jake and Dakota “Koty Bear”; and two great-grandchildren, Cami and Elena.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Wendell Nairn, Daryl Lynn Nairn and Loren R. Nairn; and six sisters, V. Fern Walden, Violettie M. Schwager, Elva L. Petz, Doris E. Unruh, L. Winifred Pierce and Willa F. Smith.
