WICHITA — Norma Jean (Alger) Penry, age 78 of Wichita, Kan. (formerly of Hoisington Kan.), passed away on Saturday Jan. 18, 2020. Originally from Kirksville Mo., she lived most of her life in Kansas. She married Ike Penry on Nov. 26, 1982. They owned and operated Suburban Amusements for many years. 

She is survived by a son, Jon Riedl of Frederick Colo.; a daughter Beth Greene (Pam Fleming) of Wichita Kan., three brothers, Kenneth (Pat) Alger of Decatur Ill., Keith (Betty) Alger of Keokuk Iowa, Norm (Judy) Alger of Norman Ark.; four nephews; and two nieces. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Burt and Louise Alger; a son Alan Riedl; her husband Ivan (Ike) Penry; a sister Marjorie Alger; and a brother Carl Alger.

A graveside family service will be held Saturday Feb. 1, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hoisington City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name with Interim Hospice at 9920 E Harry St, Wichita KS 67207.
