COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Patricia Joan Brandt, 73, died Sept. 26 at Cheyenne Mountain Care Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.  Born March 4, 1941 at Russell, she was the daughter of Paul and Virginia (Henshaw) Kanitz.
She married Robert C. Brandt Nov. 12, 1984 at Hutchinson.  He died March 13, 2007.  A Great Bend resident most of her life, Mrs. Brandt was a secretary in an insurance agency.
Survivors include three sons: Wayne Simpson and his wife Danita of Wichita, Michael Simpson and his wife Lisa of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jason Simpson and his wife Falisha of Ellinwood; one daughter, Debbie Ford of Wiley, Colo.; one sister, Nancy Bramsteadt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend with Pastor Al Hatten officiating.  Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.  Cremation has taken place, so no visitation is planned.  Memorials are suggested to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
