Phillip Gene Napolitano, 67, passed away Oct. 14, 2024, at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born Sept. 28, 1957, to James and Ruth (Butler) Napolitano in Great Bend. He was a lifetime Great Bend resident.
Phillip worked in the oilfield prior to becoming a flooring installer for Millers of Claflin. Following his motorcycle accident in 2004, he worked for Pistol Pete’s part-time.
Phillip was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose. He was passionate about music, recycling and loved to ride motorcycles. Phillip had a generous heart and found joy in making people laugh and smile. He faced many challenges, but he never let them hold him back from finding the positive in all situations.
Survivors include three sisters, Pam Clark (Howard) of Houston, Texas, Paula Cody (Dale) of Monkey Island, Okla., Rose Lassle (Leigh) of Gillette, Wyo.; one brother, Michael Napolitano (Marla) of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials have been designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend,KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
