HOISINGTON — Phyllis Y. Nulton, 80, died March 23 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Jan. 12, 1932, at McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Pierce and Gertrude (Phillips) Wikoff. She married Tom Nulton on Oct. 21, 1951, at Hays. She worked in retail sales for Ann’s Dress Shop in Hays and Verna’s in Hoisington, and as an office manager for over 25 years at State Farm Insurance, Hoisington. She had been a Hoisington resident since 1967, coming from Hays.
Mrs. Nulton was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hoisington. She loved her children, gardening, fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Rick Nulton and wife Darlene, Hoisington, and Mike Nulton and wife Susie, Allen; one brother, Wesley Wikoff and wife Jane, Hays; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at First United Methodist Church in Hoisington with the Rev. Kris Brinlee officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Memorial Gardens, Hays. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church - Kitchen Restoration in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington.
