Randall Eugene Oliver 1921 - 2011

WICHITA — Randall Eugene Oliver, 89, passed away March 11 at Lakewood Senior Living Center in Wichita. He was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Madison, the son of Willis Monroe and Amy Freelove Holland Oliver. He graduated from Madison High School in 1939. He retired from the U. S. Navy and had served during World War II in the Pacific.

After retirement from Caterpillar Inc., he moved to Galveston, Texas, then to Wichita in 1998.

Randall was a member of the VFW in Pekin, Ill.

He married Eula Mae "Judy" Edwards, July 12, 1946, in Chicago, Ill. She died Sept. 13, 1996. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Jines, and his parents.

Survivors include a brother, James Oliver, Great Bend; three nieces, Nancy (Mark) Crane of Wichita, Jan (Stan) Stegelman of Topeka and Linda (Scott) Chisholm of Great Bend, Kansas.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woods Cemetery near Madison. Memorial contributions can be made to the Haskel Indian Nations University School in Lawrence and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Madison.
