GORHAM — Richard L. Wyatt, 90, Gorham, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020 at HaysMed.

He was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Minneola, Kan., the son of Joseph Luke and Lucille (Acerbi) Wyatt. He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked for 36 years at Stapleton International Airport in Denver as a flight simulator technician for United Airlines. On Aug. 13, 1954 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Ann Gates in Hastings, Neb., and they celebrated 65 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 2019. Richard was on the Gorham Township Board, enjoyed tinkering, building and fixing clocks and model airplanes, and used his ingenuity to build, fix, and repair everything himself. He enjoyed his time at home, would help anybody in true neighborly fashion, welcomed everybody as if they were family, and enjoyed attending his great grandchildren’s birthday parties.  

Survivors include two daughters Nancy Seitz of Gorham and Terri Wyatt of Liebenthal; several half-siblings; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann; two sons Timothy and Ronald Wyatt; a sister JoAnne; and several half-siblings.

Private family inurnment will be in Winterset Cemetery south of Gorham. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Condolences and memories of Richard may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com.
