Richard “L.C.” Kimble, age 76 years, longtime Great Bend, Kan. area resident, passed away on Wednesday morning, Aug. 19, 2020 at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kan. L.C. was born on Feb. 5, 1944 at Pine Bluff, Ark. to Donnie and Willie Mae (Turner) Kimble. He was a welder for Mid-Continent LP Services in Great Bend for over 30 years prior to his retirement. L.C. loved to fish, and loved being with family – especially his grandchildren.
L.C. is survived by three daughters, Rose Robinson of Colorado, Yvonne Jones of Topeka, Kan., and Kelsey Kimble of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren; six sisters, Stella Smith, Lola Daniels, Sherl Kimble, Mordie Kimble, and JoAnn Davis, all of Arkansas and Betty Thies of Salina, Kan.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Billy Wayne Kimble Sr.
Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at Golden Belt Memorial Park Cemetery north of Great Bend with Pastor Leroy Keith officiating. There will be no viewing/visitation. Memorial Donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
